Introduction:
Stories teach us important life lessons in addition to being entertaining. This ancient Aesop story serves as a reminder of decisions and their effects. Let's get started with The Farmer and the Cranes.
One day, a group of cranes saw a farmer working in his field. The farmer was plowing the soil and sowing seeds. The cranes thought, “This is the perfect chance! Once the seeds sprout, it will be a feast for us.”As soon as the farmer left, the cranes flew down and began to eat the freshly sown seeds
But the farmer was no idiot. He was aware of these birds' tricks. So he returned with a sling. At first, he just shouted loudly and waved the sling in the air to frighten the cranes without bringing any stones.
At the beginning, the cranes were terrified and quickly flew away. They soon discovered, however, that the loud words could not hurt them and that there were no stones in the sling. They became more confident every day and ceased to heed the farmer's cautions.
Finally, the farmer decided to act. He placed real stones in his sling and struck several cranes. The others, filled with fear, never dared to return to his field again.
